About
I've walked more than 400 cities across 50 countries — not as a tourist, but as someone trained to read what buildings, streets, and urban spaces say about the societies that made them.
Twenty-five years of architectural practice in New York City taught me how to look at a place seriously: not just what it looks like, but how it works, who it serves, and what happens when it changes.
Now I research and write about urban heritage, adaptive reuse, sustainable tourism, and the cultural cost of urban transformation — from my research base at Hochschule Anhalt in Dessau, and everywhere else my work takes me.
